I'm currently a third year at UCSD studying Cognitive and Behavioral Neuroscience. My interests are in medicine, mental health, behavioral research and community engagement

Current Projects and Experiences

Language Acquisition and Sound Recognition Lab | Research Assistant
Under Dr. Sarah Creel, I am one of the head researchers for her L2 study. L2 Talk studies the relationship between speech perception and production in secong language speakers. I perform experiments on fellow collage students inside the lab, including tasks in PsychoPy, MATLAB, and the usage of audacity and a multi-language naming test. I am in charge of outreach and booking participants, both paid and through SONA and scheduling currently L2 research assistants.

Palomar Health | Pathmaker Intern
As an intern for Palomar Health, I work closely with clinical providers such as RN's, CNA's and Developmental Specialists to provide assistance to patients. Duties include ambulating, dressing, taking vitals, discharging, and assisting with preschool oriented classes. I rotate through departments quarterly to gain exposure to many different faces of healthcare. Currently serving in the Developmental Department.

ATA Martial Arts | Instructor
Entering my 15th year in Songahm Taekwondo, I am a proud instructor of 100+ students with ages ranging from 3-75. Under Grand Master William Wacholz, I teach kids and adults the way of Songahm Taekwondo. I teach both physical and mental skills, including self-defense and discipline. I also actively compete and continue to train as a 4th degree black belt. I started teaching as a volunteer when I was 7 and transitioned to staff at the age of 14. I also help with with ordering merchandise and integrating financial systems; utilized MyStudio for point of sales, attendance, and membership tracking.

Pilipino Undergraduate Society for Health | Internal Conference Coordinator
I am the internal conference coordinator for PUSH's annual Health Summit Conference, an even that invites Health Professionals, Graduate students, and Healthcare groups to collaborates in sharing their wisdom and experiences with UCSD students. I, along with the other co-conference coordinator, am in charge of leading a committee group, as well as coordinating outreach, advertising, and operational duties; including securing funding, reserving rooms, and organizing event logistics.
